: The study was conducted in accordance with the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and followed relevant national and institutional guidelines. The survey was conducted by open ended questionnaire and face to face interviews, it did not involve any kind of clinical procedure or risk to the respondents of North Bengal region. Hence, institutional ethics committee of the University of North Bengal waived the need for approval. Informed consent was obtained from all participants prior to data collection. Participants were clearly informed about the purpose of the study, any potential risks and benefits involved. All participants interviewed were above 18 years and have agreed voluntary to give information on the ethnic heritage of their region.
