: The selected plant was a wild variety and the study was approved by ASRB, UOM. The plant was collected from Food Technology Center of Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Peshawar with permission of the Dirctor of the institute. The plant was identified by Dr. Hina Fazal (Plant Taxonomist and Senior Scientific Officer, PCSIR Laboratories Complex, Peshawar) and a voucher specimen was deposited in the Herbarium of PCSIR Laboratories Complex, Peshawar, under Voucher Specimen No. 10823.
