: This study utilizes qualitative data collection and analysis methodology. The authors followed the Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research (SRQR) as described by O’Brien et al. 2014. This methodology was appropriate given what little is known about the root causes of homelessness, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. More details on the study design, data collection, and analysis appear in the Methods section of this research paper.
