Ethics approval and consent to participate: This study was conducted in accordance with the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki, ensuring respect, confidentiality, and voluntary participation of all respondents. Ethical approval for this research was obtained from the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) of Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh (Approval No. ARP2024030, dated July 25, 2024). This committee is authorized to evaluate and approve research involving human participants, particularly in the field of zoonotic and public health-related surveys. At the time of research, additional approval from a medical or public health institute was not required under the country’s national guidelines. Informed consents were obtained from all the participants, indicating that they understood the study's goal and their rights. Confidentiality procedures were tightly enforced to preserve participants' privacy, and every attempt was made to reduce any potential risk or discomfort.
