: The authors want to declare that the sample does not include minors/psychologically vulnerable groups, or animals. The data does not include biomedical (e.g., human tissues), clinical, or biometric data. Participants were not exposed to any kind of X-rays, radiation, drugs or other kind of potentially harmful substances during data collection. Their human rights were duly guarded by the researchers. All ethical standards have been carefully observed by the researchers while conducting the research. It is not necessary to obtain ethical approval for this kind of study in the country of data collection. Hence, a statement of approval from the committee has not been uploaded.
: The present paper is an output of original research conducted to examine the impact of changing socio-cultural milieu on the value of obedience in youth. This was an independent, self-funded research, and doesn’t have any conflict of interest financial or academic between the two authors and between the authors and the institution.
: The present study complies with all ethical standards of social science research suggested by the law of the land and also with international standards. This is to clarify that the participants were duly informed about the purpose of the study and the method of data collection before data collection. They were made clear that participation in the study is purely voluntary and they can withdraw their participation at any stage during the study, which will bear no negative consequences. Written consent for the study was taken from all the participants. The authors ensured the confidentiality of the data. It was informed to the participants that the findings would be anonymously reported to the scientific community for a better understanding of the phenomenon.
