: This study was completed as a part of a Doctoral Thesis larger project. Ethical approval for the study was gained from the University of Bolton and Health Education England. Approval for use of the A Health and Care Digital Capabilities Framework was obtained from Health Education England. The study was carried out in accordance with the obtained ethical approval. The programme of study was transferred to the University of Greenwich after completion of data collection and ethical approval was maintained throughout this transfer. Participants were invited to take part who were already working as an academic in a health related programme that resulted in professional registration, were over 18 years old, worked in a University in England, and were given the opportunity for informed consent to participate. The participants were presented with a Participant Information Sheet within the survey tool, and could only continue if confirmed that this was read and that consent was given. Only complete data sets were included in the study.
