: To maintain the study’s integrity and participants’ safety, several ethical issues were given top priority when researching parental engagement in ECDE in the Mbeere regions of Embu County, Kenya. First, the Pwani University Ethical Review Board granted ethical permission for the study (ERC/EMBU-STAFF/001/2022). This review verified that the study complied with accepted ethical norms and regulations for using human subjects in research. Before participating, all parents and teachers were given comprehensive information about the study’s goals, methods, possible dangers, and advantages. Every participant gave their informed consent, guaranteeing that they were aware of their rights and that their participation was voluntary. Participant confidentiality was rigorously respected during the whole study period. All obtained data was devoid of any personal identification, and anonymity was guaranteed by aggregating the responses. Only authorized research workers had access to the data, which was kept securely and used exclusively for the study’s objectives. Owing to the participants’ varied cultural origins, the research team received training on conducting the study with respect and cultural sensitivity. A coordinated effort was made to guarantee that the study materials and procedures were suitable and relevant to the local environment. The fact that they would get feedback on the study’s conclusions was disclosed to the participants. This openness promotes continued community involvement and builds trust. The researchers also promised to share the findings with participants and local stakeholders to encourage accountability. Informed consent was obtained from all participants before data collection.
