: This research involved collecting anonymous questionnaire responses from students regarding biodiversity conservation. According to the Sikkim Alpine University Ethics Committee (EC) policy, this minimal-risk study using anonymous, non-sensitive data was waived by the Ethics Committee. Ethical procedures followed the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki (1964, as amended).

: Participants were informed about the purpose of the study, the voluntary nature of participation, and the confidentiality of their responses before completing the questionnaire. Participation was entirely voluntary, and respondents were free to decline participation or withdraw at any time. The questionnaire was administered anonymously, and all responses were used solely for academic research purposes and reported in aggregated form to ensure confidentiality. Informed consent was obtained from all participants, and for participants under the age of 16 years, informed consent was obtained from their parents or legal guardians.
