: The Lantana camara leaf and seed samples were collected from the Cemetery area in Chiro town, West Haraghe, Ethiopia, with prior permission from the local administrator. The plant material was identified by Mr. Abdi Hussen, a taxonomist at Haramaya University Herbarium, and a voucher specimen was deposited at the Haramaya University Herbarium with the identifier HU-PLT/1222. The authors affirm that the experimental protocols for this research were reviewed and approved by the Haramaya University Research Office, adhering to the institution’s research ethics guidelines. The collection, characterization, and documentation processes followed all established protocols to ensure ethical and responsible handling of plant materials. The experimental plant, Lantana camara, is a wild and invasive shrub that poses no endangering risk to biodiversity or conservation efforts. As the plant is not a protected or threatened species, further specific permissions or additional affirmations were deemed unnecessary. This study complies with all applicable local and national guidelines for the collection and use of plant materials.
