: The study entitled “Transformability of Cottage Industries in Ethiopia: Evidence from Cost Efficiency, Technological Adoption, and Innovation Capability” involved the collection of primary data from human respondents and was reviewed and approved by the Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) Research Ethics Approval Committee on Date: 05/01/2026. The research was conducted in full compliance with internationally recognized ethical standards, including the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki (1964) and its subsequent amendments, as well as applicable national and institutional ethical guidelines. Prior to data collection, all respondents were provided with clear and adequate information regarding the objectives, procedures, and intended use of the study. Informed consent was obtained from all participants, and participation was entirely voluntary. Respondents were assured of their right to decline or withdraw from the study at any stage without any adverse consequences. The confidentiality and anonymity of participants were strictly maintained, and all data collected were treated with the highest level of confidentiality and used solely for academic and research purposes. Yes- Freely given, informed consent to participate in the study was obtained from all respondents prior to their involvement. Participants were fully informed about the purpose of the study, the procedures involved, the voluntary nature of participation, and their right to withdraw at any time without any negative consequences. All participants provided their consent before any data were collected. The consent to participate statement has been approved by university ethical board which has been attached to file submission system.
