: This study was approved by the Faculty of Medicine Research Committee, Mbarara University of Science and Technology Research Ethics Committee (REC No. MUST-2023-952). Administrative clearance was obtained from the dean Faculty of Medicine Mbarara University of Science and Technology, before conducting the study. Written informed consent was obtained from each study participant before recruitment into the study and confidentiality of the study participants was ensured by using unique identifiers. Participation was voluntary and participants were free to withdraw from the study at any time during the study. In general, this study adhered to the Declaration of Helsinki.
