: The protocol of this observational study received ethical approval from the Institutional Review Committee (IRC) of Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Pokhara, Nepal on 15 August 2023 (Approval No. MCOMS/IRC/562/GA). This IRC was approved by the Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC), Government of Nepal. The study adheres to the National Ethical Guidelines for Health Research in Nepal, 2022 issued by the NHRC and complies with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. nformed consent was obtained from the parents/legally authorized representatives of 33 missed aborted fetuses before taking the adrenal gland tissue.
