: The research was conducted with the utmost consideration for the welfare of the animals, and Arba Minch University and Wolaita Sodo Regional Laboratory’s ethical review committee granted their consent (Ref. No.: AMU/AREC/3/2014). Informed consent was obtained from the dairy cattle owners to take part in the study. Participation in the study was voluntary. The sampling sites were disinfected just both before and after collecting blood samples, and animals were handled humanely.
