: Consideration Experimental protocols used in this study were approved by the Ethical committee of the Department of Animal Science of the University of Dschang (ECDAS-UDs 23/03/2023/UDs/FASA/DSAES) and was in conformity with the internationally accepted standard ethical guidelines for laboratory animal use and care as described in the European Community guidelines. The university granted us an ethical waiver for human participation in this study, as previously outlined by the ethics committee. This decision was based on the fact that the feed used in this study was part of routine animal feed.
