: This study did not include any human or animal subjects. All procedures followed the ethical norms established by the institutional research committee. Turkey berry (Solanum torvum sw.) fruit pedicel waste (also known as Pedicel - Sundakai kambu) was collected from household kitchens in Pudukkottai with prior verbal approval from the residents. A subject expert validated the identification of the plant (Solanum torvum), and a voucher specimen (JJ/DOB/24/ST/0101) was placed in the Department of Botany, JJ College of Arts and Science (A), Pudukkottai, Tamilnadu, India. The study followed all institutional, national, and international criteria for collecting and using plant materials.
