: The National Health Research Ethics Committee of Nigeria (NHREC) approved this study (NHREC/01/01/2007). Further, all procedures performed were in accordance with the ethical standards of the national research committee and with the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. The Plant used in this study was collected in accordance with the guidelines on good agricultural and collection practices in herbal medicine as well as local and national guidelines with permission granted by the landowner.
