: All procedures performed in the head and neck cancer study were conducted in line with the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki by the World Medical Association. Ethical approval was granted from the ethics committee of the University Hospital Jena, Germany (No. 4291-12/14). Written informed consent was obtained from all individual participants included in the study of head and neck cancer patients.
: Patients signed informed consent regarding publishing data based on their head and neck cancer biopsy samples.
: Not applicable. The presented head and neck cancer study represents a pilot investigation involving ex vivo analysis of biopsy samples obtained during standard clinical care.
