: The collection of calm shells used in this study adhered to all applicable Nigerian and Federal university of Technology Akure guidelines for collection and research. The calm shell was sourced from a local market in Akure, ensuring sustainable practices and minimizing any impact on wild populations. As the shells are readily available, no specific permissions or licenses were required for their collection in this context. However, this study was conducted with a strong commitment to ethical considerations and environmental responsibility. Collection methods were non-destructive.
