: Areca Nut (Areca catechu L.) Husk was collected from the local market located in Nagarbera, Kamrup, Assam, India, in a zipped polythene bag. The plant material was identified by Dr. Chiranjib Mili, Department of Botany, B.P.Chaliha College, in October 2024, and a voucher specimen was deposited at the Department of Botany, B.P.Chaliha College, Nagarbera, Kamrup, Assam, India, with ID MJD00304. The collection was performed with proper permission from the institute, and no endangered species were involved in this study, in compliance with IUCN guidelines and relevant national legislation.
