: The plant used in the study was collected from Directorate of Textiles (Sericulture), Matigara Sericulture Complex, West Bengal, India. For collecting the plant sample proper permission was obtained from Joint Director, Matigara Sericulture Complex, Govt. of West Bengal, India. Therefore, the collection of the plants used in the study complies with guidelines of sericulture farm with no need for further affirmation. While conducting the research all the guidelines were followed as per the University research ethics for collection, characterisation and documentation of experimental results.
