: The plant material used is the property of the Institut de l'Environnement et de Recherches Agricoles (INERA). This plant material is part of a collection carried out in 2017 by Dr Monique SORO (Research Officer at INERA and co-author of this article) in the context of a sampling activity for the detection and molecular characterisation of cassava mosaic viruses. The collection was made in cassava production areas, including Léo and Nouhao. Cultivar BFM206 was collected in Léo (Latitude: 11.067864; Longitude: –2.102608), a locality in the Centre-Ouest region, and cultivar BFM260 was collected in Nouhao (Latitude: 11.221370; Longitude: – 0.252758), a locality in the Centre-Est region. Therefore, the collection of the plants used in the study complies with local or national guidelines with no need for further affirmation.
