: Seeds of Laggera alata forms (LA-BC and LA-SC) and Laggera crispata form (LC-SA) from South Africa were collected in Melmoth, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa (28° 38′ 59.7″ S 31° 26′ 50.7″ E. Seeds of Laggera crispata form from Zimbabwe (LC-ZIM) were collected in Harare, Zimbabwe (17° 49′ 50.0″ S 30° 46′ 27.1″ E). Permission to collect in Melmoth and Harare was received from KwaBiyela Tribal Court and the University of Zimbabwe farm manager, respectively. The plant material was identified by Prof GE Zharare and Prof C Zimudzi (the co-authors of the manuscript). Voucher specimens from Melmoth (NNN&NRN 12; NNN&NRN 13; NNN&NRN 14) were deposited in the Department of Botany, University of Zululand herbarium (ZULU) and the voucher from Harare (GEZ&CZ 1) was deposited at the University of Zimbabwe herbarium (CAH).
