: All experimental procedures involving plants were approved by the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBSC), University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. The research was conducted in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The plant material (Musa acuminata Colla, 1820 – cv. Grand Naine) was collected from the experimental farm of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. The research was conducted in compliance with institutional, national, and international guidelines, including the IUCN Policy Statement on Research Involving Species at Risk of Extinction and the Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). The banana cultivar used is not listed as endangered or threatened on the IUCN Red List.
