: Plant material of Codonopsis clematidea (Schrenk) C.B. Clarke was collected from four sites in the Ladakh Himalaya, India: Damsna (Suru) (3206 m asl), Hagnis (Chiktan) (3500 m asl), Sapi (3877 m asl), and Drass (4010 m asl). The species was identified and authenticated at the Centre for Biodiversity and Taxonomy (CBT), Department of Botany, University of Kashmir. A voucher specimen (No. 9036-KASH) has been deposited in the Kashmir University Herbarium (KASH). The species is not listed in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species or in the CITES appendices. All experimental procedures complied with institutional, national, and international guidelines for plant research and conservation.
