: The plant material Crepidium manikathilum was collected from Vattakanal, Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. The voucher specimen was deposited at MH (Madras Herbarium), Botanical Survey of India, Southern Regional Centre, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India (Accession No. 178301). Among the many plants discarded during road extension in the Vattakanal area, a single individual was rescued for herbarium submission and complied with the principles of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002 (Government of India). The pods and flowers were used solely for academic (identification and conservation) and non-commercial purposes. We conducted all plant investigations in accordance with institutional and local guidelines, with no need for further affirmation.
