: The cultivated plants of Valeriana jatamansi Jones were collected by Dr. Vivek Rawat, a researcher at the Center for Biodiversity Conservation and Management, G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (GBP-NIHE) Almora, form herbal garden (nursery) (1150 m asl; 29°38′22.54′′ N, 79°37′24.87′′ E) of the institute following national guidelines.

: The plant material ( Valeriana jatamansi ) was submitted to the Herbarium of GBP-NIHE, Almora, by Dr. Vivek Rawat, where it was identified (voucher no. GBP-BSD-112793) by Dr. K. C. Sekar, Taxonomist and Senior Scientist at the Institute. The bacterial strains were obtained from the microbial culture collection maintained in the Microbiology Laboratory of the Institute.
