Ethics approval and consent to participate: Plant materials used in this study were collected from naturally occurring (wild) populations of Vanda tessellata (Roxb.) Hook. ex G.Don growing on roadside host trees at Parassuvakkal, along the Neyyattinkara-Parassala route, Kerala, India (8.3760°N, 77.1543°E). Collection and handling of plant materials were conducted in accordance with relevant institutional, local, and national guidelines. Permission for plant collection was obtained from the Kerala Forest Department (Permission No: KFDHQ-3041/2022-CWW/WL-10). The plant material was taxonomically identified by Dr. Gangaprasad Appukuttannair, Centre for Biodiversity Conservation, Department of Botany, University of Kerala, India. A voucher specimen (KUBH 11403) has been deposited in the Kerala University Botany Herbarium (KUBH), University of Kerala, India. This study did not involve human participants or vertebrate animals.
