Ethics approval and consent to participate

: The collection of the plants/plant parts in this study strictly complied with national guidelines. All fieldwork and plant collection activities were conducted under a valid research permit issued by the Ministry of Lands and Agriculture. Voucher specimen were safely and securely deposited in Peter Smith University of Botswana Herbarium with deposition numbers: KM Shorobe FRF; Sefo grass 2; Grass 1 Bampusi; Sefo sedge 1; Grass 2 T G Xhana. The identification was carried out by the Herbarium Curator, Mr. Joseph Madome (jmadome@ub.ac.bw).Consent to participate is not applicable’ since no human participants are included in the current study.
