: An analysis of maternal mortality was performed with ethical standards and with the consent of the Chief expert for Gynaecology &Obstetrics of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic. Data collection identification and analysis of maternal deaths in Slovakia followed the WHO guidelines (Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Millenium Development Goals), which the Slovak Republic signed. We confirm that all published data have been anonymized in accordance with ethical standards.
