: An analysis of ICU maternal admission (as part of project on severe acute maternal morbidity surveillance) was performed in accordance with ethical standards and with the consent of the Chief expert for Gynaecology & Obstetrics of the Ministry of Health Slovak Republic, aiming to improve maternal mortality in Slovakia. The data collection, identification and analysis of maternal deaths in Slovakia followed the WHO guidelines (Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Millennium Development Goals), which the Slovak Republic signed. We confirm that all published data have been anonymized in accordance with ethical standards.
