: The collection of plant material ( Coptis teeta ) was carried out in accordance with relevant national and local guidelines and followed the provisions of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002. Necessary permission was obtained from the Arunachal Pradesh Biodiversity Board (APBB) (Ref. No. SFRI/APBB/9/2011; dated 28 January 2021). The plant material was collected from wild populations with minimal disturbance considering its endangered status. Voucher specimens were prepared following standard herbarium techniques (Jain & Rao, 1977) and deposited in the North East Herbarium of Ayurvedic Research (NEHAR) under accession number NEHAR-8305.

: The voucher specimen has been deposited in North East Herbarium of Ayurvedic Research (NEHAR) and its deposition number/ accession number is (NEHAR-8305) under Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS).
: Herbarium specimens were prepared following standard herbarium techniques (Jain & Rao, 1977). Voucher specimens of the collected plant material were preserved and deposited in the North East Herbarium of Ayurvedic Research (NEHAR), with accession number NEHAR-8305. In addition, duplicate specimens were maintained in the Department of Botany, Assam Don Bosco University, Tapesia, Assam, for future reference.
: Prior to field visit, permission for collection of plant materials and access to biological resources was obtained from the Arunachal Pradesh Biodiversity Board (APBB), Department of Environment and Forests, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, under the provisions of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002 (Ref. No. SFRI/APBB/9/2011; dated 28 January 2021). The study was conducted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified by the concerned authorities.
