: All authors on this manuscript are employed by, or consultants with, Neurocore Brain Performance Centers, Grand Rapids, MI, USA. RKT is an independent scientific consultant, and her clients include other practitioners of NFB. LAW operates a private practice that provides NFB and biofeedback therapies (Inland Seas Neurotherapy and Counseling (InSyNC)) in Fife Lake, MI. In the past, LAW served on the AAPB Practice Standards Committee (2013), and she is a former instructor for Thought Technology.
: All procedures performed in studies involving human participants were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and/or national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. For this type of study formal consent is not required. Use of the human data included in this study was approved by the New England Independent Review Board. This study is a retrospective analysis of client data with all personal health information identifiers removed, and an IRB Privacy Board Waiver of Consent for retrospective studies was obtained for its use.
