: All experiments were conducted in accordance with the guidelines on ethical standards for investigation of experimental pain in animals (Zimmermann CitationRef removed), with the requirements published by the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (SAGARPA, Mexico) in the technical specifications for the production, care, and use of laboratory animals (NOM-062-ZOO-1999), and in a compliance with international rules as the guide for the care and use of laboratory animals (National Research Council).
