Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study conformed to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki, was approved by the Ethics Committee of Changzheng Hospital, and was performed in accordance with the committee’s guidelines. Twenty patients with hip OA and 20 with femoral neck fractures were recruited at Changzheng Hospital (Shanghai, China). The patients provided written informed consent, and articular cartilage samples were collected from the patients during the hip arthroplasty surgery.
