: All measurements described were performed in accordance with guidelines set forth for research in human participants in the 2024 revised Declaration of Helsinki as well as the Department of Health of South Africa Guidelines. Approval for the study was obtained from the Provincial Department of Education as well as Health Research Ethics Committee of the North-West University (NWU-00007-12-A1). Recruitment letters were circulated in schools to each child within the age range. Parents were invited to attend an information session at the school, hereafter received documents with information regarding the study and after a period of two weeks contacted to determine interest for their child’s participation. Before any measurements were taken all procedures were explained to parents and children whereafter, informed consent/assent forms were completed and signed by both parents and children participating.
