: Two adult male New Zealand rabbits (2.5–3.0 kg) were used in this study. The experiment was approved by Guangzhou Boyao Biotechnology Co., Ltd (IAEC-K-230717-03) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU-IACUC-2022-000048, SYSU-IACUC-2023-001894). New Zealand Large White rabbits were subjected to anesthesia via intramuscular injection with a dose of 0.1 mL/kg Lumianning (Jilin Huamu Animal Health Products Co., Ltd). After anesthesia, the rabbits were covered with blankets to maintain body temperature. The rabbits were continuously anesthetized by leg injection with Lumianning. To prepare for the experiment, the chest, legs, and cranial regions of the rabbits were depilated using surgical scissors and a depilatory cream. Following depilation, the MMA was applied to the depilated area, effectively penetrating the skin of New Zealand rabbits. After the measurements were completed, the animals were euthanized by intramuscular injection of an overdose of Lumianning.
