: All the experimental procedures were performed following the ARRIVE Guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals in research and were supervised and approved by the Universidad de los Andes Bioethical Committee (# CEC202039). Criteria for exclusion of animals were: weight loss over 20%, sickness behavior (temperature changes over 2 °C, aspects of behavior, fur and corneal inflammation). Randomization based on similar weights/group was used at the beginning of each experiment. The researcher was blind to treatment type but not to stress/no stress condition.
