: All experimental methods were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations. Animal experiments were pre-approved by the UNMC Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC Protocol # 22-059-10-FC). The prostate cancer tissue specimens were obtained with informed consent from patients who underwent radical prostatectomy at the Department of Urology, Institute for Pathology, University Hospital “Carl-Gustav-Carus”, University of Technology, Dresden between 1999 and 2005. The Charite approved the use of PC tissue samples by the University Ethics Committee under the protocol ‘Retrospective analysis of tissue samples by immunohistochemistry and molecular biological techniques’ (EA1/06/2004) on 20 September 2004.
