Ethics approval and consent to participate: The study was approved by the Bioethics Committee for Scientific Research of the Medical University of Gdansk, Poland (approval no. NKBBN/603/2020). All methods were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations, including the Declaration of Helsinki. Brain tissue was obtained during prosecutor-mandated medico-legal autopsies performed under Polish criminal-procedure law, and all samples were anonymized before analysis. Because the material was collected within statutory forensic autopsies and analyzed in anonymized form, the requirement for individual informed consent was waived by the Bioethics Committee.
