: None to declare. The study was conducted in compliance with the Helsinki Declaration for Medical Research. Prior to the investigation’s second phase, patients were notified and gave their written consent to participate. All participants had previously given their written informed consent for clinical procedures in accordance with the existing guidelines for good clinical practice and the current Italian Law. No prior ethical approval was required as this was an observational study of standard clinical treatments with no experimental intervention. Patients consented and who had visited the dental clinic between 2006 and 2008 were included in the study.
