Ethics declaration
: The authors declare no conflicts of interest. The study was designed as a prospective, questionnaire-based survey. The questionnaire requested information on the quantity and type of didactic and clinical teaching, as well as asking the staff member to assess the overall quality of their sedation teaching, and as such, ethics approval was not necessary. All respondents consented to participate.
