Ethics approval and consent to participate
: All animal studies were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at the University of Kansas Medical Center (IACUC #2017-2409). Any studies using tissue solely obtained from the Rapid Autopsy Program for Pancreas (IRB#091-01) are not considered human subject research because the individuals are not living when the tissue is obtained (per the regulations at 45 CFR 46.102) and therefore would not need IRB approval.
