: The use of patient lung tissues for research purposes was approved by the Ethics Committee of the University of Lübeck (statement no. 07-157 and 14-043), and informed consent was obtained. NSCLC specimens resected in the Thoracic Hospital Heidelberg were extracted from the archive of the Institute of Pathology, Heidelberg University, with the support of the tissue bank of the National Center for Tumor Diseases. Tissues were used in accordance with the ethical regulations of the NCT tissue bank defined by the local ethics committee (206/2005). Approval for the use of biomaterial and clinical data was obtained from the local ethics board of the University of Lübeck (18-026) and the lung biobank of the Thoracic Hospital Heidelberg (S-270/2001). All experiments were performed in compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
