Patient samples were collected with ethical permission from Castle Hill Hospital (Ethics Number: 07/H1304/121) and the Wales Cancer Biobank (Project Number: 16007). Use of patient tissue was approved by the Local Research Ethics Committees. Patients gave informed consent and all patient samples were anonymized. Animal work was approved by the Cardiff University, School of Biosciences ethics committee and performed under UK Home Office licence PP1361991 following ARRIVE 2.0 and NC3R guidelines
