: Human buffy coat samples were obtained from the Transfusion Center under the approval of the Head of the Immunohematology and Transfusion Service of the University Hospital of Padova. All procedures were conducted in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations, and informed consent was obtained from all donors. All in vivo animal experiments were performed in accordance with Italian legislation (D. L.vo n.26/2014) on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes. All animal experiments were approved by the OPBA (Organismo preposto al benessere degli animali, animal welfare body) of the University of Padova and authorized by the Italian Ministry of Health (1053/2023 and 640/2025), and were conducted in accordance with relevant national and international guidelines and regulations.
