: All animal experiments were approved by the Italian Ministry of Health (IACUC protocol n°1010/2023-PR) prior to the commencement of the study. All the procedures were performed in the animal facility at IGB-CNR under pathogen-free conditions in accordance with Regulations for the Council Directive 2010/63/EU on the protection of animals used for scientific and experimental purposes. The IGB-CNR animal facility is authorized by the Ministry of Health according to the Italian law on animal experimentation (D.L. 26/2014). All experiments were performed in accordance with the approved protocol and the relevant guidelines and regulations.
