: This study was conducted by the Angel Eyes NI team using the Empatheyes Vision Impairment Simulator, a virtual reality tool developed entirely within the charity as part of its aims to supporting children with visual impairment and their families. Although the simulator may be delivered to external audiences through Empatheyes, a social enterprise wholly owned by Angel Eyes NI, all software development and research activities were carried out by the charity directly. The researchers involved had no personal financial interests in the tool or its delivery.
