: Cohort was approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of Xiangya Hospital, Central South University (ID: 2019040116), and was in accordance with the declaration of Helsinki and good clinical practice. All of the participants provided written informed consent before enrolment. All of the participants received diabetes education, anthropometrics, metabolic assessments, and biochemical assays. This study was registered on the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR1900022997). The experimental procedures involving animals were performed in compliance with Laboratory Animal Center of Central South University guidelines and approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (No. CSU-2022-0403).
