Competing interests
: F.B., C.C. and E.H.S. work as part of the BIOPAMA 2 Programme (Funded by the European Commission), which established and supports regional organisations expressing interest in the open call for Regional and/or Subregional Technical and Scientific Cooperation Support Centres under the Convention on Biological Diversity. A.v.H. works as part of the COMBO+ Programme, funded by AFD (French Development Agency) and FFEM (French Environmental Fund), which supports spatial information platforms in host countries to make data publicly available to promote the use of appropriate data in biodiversity inclusive planning and decision-making on economic project development. T.H. is a member of the CBD Informal Advisory Group on Technical and Scientific Cooperation (IAG-TSC) and as such will be involved in the selection process for the regional and sub-regional support centres.
