Competing interests
: Princeton University Professor Nathalie de Leon is a Visiting Faculty Researcher with Google Quantum AI. Due to her income from Google, Princeton University has a management plan in place to mitigate conflicts of interest that could affect the design, conduct and reporting of her group’s research on superconducting qubits. Her academic group also has a sponsored research contract with Google Quantum AI, and she is a co-inventor of a filed patent (WO2021096955) and a provisional patent (63/715,374) that are related to the subject matter of this comment.
